Refunite is a fully independent nonprofit tech organization which empowers refugees to search for their missing relatives via mobile phone, computer or free help lines. To reach this aim, refunite collaborates with partners like Ericsson, mobile network operators and the United Nations.

The map monitors hot spots in varoius European countries, especially at their borders:

Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, The Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, France and Turkey.


Meaning of the map markers:

  • Red markers are most urgent.
  • Orange less urgent.

LAGeSoNUM is a web service, where refugees can check if there waiting number at LAGeSo Berlin has already been called.

(LAGeSo – “Landesamt für Gesundheit und Soziales” – is the office in Berlin where refugees have to register. There have been long queues recently which forced refugees to wait several days in front of the building.)
